Needs some serious revising!
So, what is ‘ImproManga’? Basically, it is an Improvised Manga (Manga being a Japanese comic, or comic drawn in that style).
People sign up and are assigned a slot of time. The first person writes and draws as many manga pages as they can get done in their timeslot. This is the beginning of the story.
The next person then takes it from there, and in his or her timeslot, must make a few pages of their own. Then the next person must carry on the story, and so on. The idea is that, although a coherent story must be made, as long as it relates to the previous pages and makes sense, you’re free to have fun.
We’re always looking for new artistes to contribute to our ImproManga. Just post in the forum if you’re interested!

I have scanned the ImproManga to spur Fred on. I aven't touched up the images yet, but a set of variously oriented, varyingly dark images are being uploaded to http://www.bucko.me.uk/images/art_other/impromanga_2/
Fred says he'll rejiggerise them later.

I really enjoyed contributing. We should make a new one!
I'd elaborate more, but I don't really think I should need to. We have artists, we have fans. What more do we need?
Oh, a storyline. Yeeeaaaahhhh....
So, um, suggestions for a storyline?
Alternatively, we could just carry on with this one. Perhaps if we actually attempted to push it some more during Tuesday meetings it would work out?

The Impromanga you folks have been doing is very neat but hasn't seen much action for the past few months. It's a great project and I want to see it grow further (even completed, if that's possible for such a story line, with the view to get it printed for the library). If you guys are up for it, as it's practically your child, I'll encourage folks to contribute however possible, hell even I'll to some too to see this manga finished.
Even finishing it off with the characters running on the beach off to the sunset with a big 'the end?' would be better instead of seeing the manga in it's current state unfinished.
What say you?

Yes! An update! 
I finally got on my arse, in front of my PC and did some work for my ImproManga slot. It's only a single page (thus far), but at least it's something!

For those of you new to our wonderful society: Welcome to the exquisite delight that is ImproManga!
Since the ImproManga page doesn't seem to be available just yet (at least, to me) I shall say a few words about it.
The ImproManga is an ongoing project, where hopefuls sign up for a slot and have two weeks to add some more pages to an existing manga story. You can draw anything you like, as long as you remain within the existing cast of characters and settings.
You could use your time to send the story down new and unexpected paths -- and sometimes this is good -- but don't forget, that developing the existing storyline might prove more rewarding for everyone involved.
And there's no real reason why you shouldn't sign up for a slot. We welcome any level of skill. Or you could form a team and maybe be the next CLAMP.

Just like the fifties brought the age of the teenager, sometime in the near future will be the time of the juvenile delinquent. Forget mobile phones, every kid now owns a gun. Instead of trading cards, they trade rare ammunition types. Schools are now the most dangerous places to be, which has led to the creation of a new role to keep the peace - The Special Prefecture!
The Prefects are charged with the duty of bringing order to chaos and protecting the innocent. This is no mean feat - they may be armed with all the latest weaponry and the skills to use them, but so is everyone else!
Our ImproManga is a love story/detective story with a dash of guns and action and plenty of humour.
The story centres on four Prefects: one strong-silent type, one boffin, one over-enthusiastic idiot and one femme fatale. Our strong-silent and a particular cute girl are probably destined to fall in love – the only problem is the cute girl's brother just happens to be a leader of a pretty tough gang, who certainly don’t have any love for prefects. On top of everything else, a mysterious third party has slipped into the mix and is stirring up trouble with the Prefects and the rival gangs...
Of course, that’s just a broad overview. The intricate twists and turns that the ImproManga must take are up to you!

As much as possible, try to keep to this character list. Obviously, your slot doesn’t need to show all of them, but they must have the main roles. Your own personal characters are free to make appearances in your pages, but they can’t make ground-breaking plot developments.
Character designs are provided, but you don’t need to draw them exactly as shown, after all, it’s about making your own style shine through.
