This anime follows the story of Souichiro and his mate aptly named Bob when they enter the Todou High School for their search for tougher opponents and find that all is not what they expected.
Their plan for school domination goes pretty well with their indiscriminate beatings until chibi Maya Natsume enters the scene and with little effort she dispatches the two with Seisharou thrown out of the 3rd floor and into the girls shower room and who does he find there scantily clad but Aya Natsume. Whether it is family tradition or otherwise Aya, upon her nudety discovered, professes her intention for marriage but Souichiro just isn't that easy - he becomes a gagling moron around girls.
In their journey to become tougher they join the Jyouken Club, captained by Maya Natsume, and wage war against the Enforcement Group who are the law around school.
The anime comprises of several love triangles, a lot of fighting, and the occasional money shot.
At the beginning it was suprisingly potent and the fighting in particular fearsome especially when Masataka (who fancies Aya who's the future wife of Souichiro, who is confused about his feeling for Maya), the leading student of the Jyouken Club, goes berserk against Souichiro in the dining room. The animation, itself, is quite good and a scene that I recall is when Maya kicks Souchiro out the window, and you can really see the effort put into the scene. However this does not represent the anime as a whole which is about average.
As to the story line I would say it is ok, a bit too many flash backs and too many fanservice shots for my liking however and at the end it gets a bit stupid especially when Shin, Maya's late brother, goes demonic crazy against is 2nd in command.
Overall I would give this a rating of 6/10 because it is good at the beginning, it does have a rather catchy opening tune, Bob's dry humour is funny and I found myself wanting to know the backstory of the breakaway Jyouken Club.
One last point... I think the dubbed version of Tenjho Tenge is way better than it's original and if you are tempted to watch it, even the first 2 discs that are in the library then try out the dubbing, you won't regret it.
